Hi, my Name is Misty Tripoli. Welcome to my website. I hope you
find it informative and empowering. My hope is to give you simple
tools and inspiration to help you transform your life into one of
self discovery and bliss. All of my products have been created with
integrity and infused with positive energy. My intention is for
you to have a place that you can visit regularly for insight and
inspiration along your way.
I have been in the health/fitness industry for over 18 years, teaching
aerobics, yoga, pilates, dance, kickboxing, core training and every
other fitness class you can think of. Most would think that I would
be totally fit but I was living a lie. I struggled with an unhealthy
body image for years. I would beat myself up daily about my body,
what I ate, how I looked and constantly compared myself to others.
My body should look different than what it was! I was willing to
do anything in that pursuit of the "perfect" body, even
going under the knife and forcing myself to throw up. I tried just
about every gadget, widget and pill in hopes that it would work
for me. After all of this I continued to be unhealthy, exhausted
and fed up. I knew there had to be a better way.
After years of tormenting and beating myself up, I was done! I
finally started asking myself some very powerful questions, like
"What am I chasing after? Where did these crazy beliefs about
my body come from? Is this all there is? Why am I here? How much
of my life am I going to waste obsessing about my body? Do I have
something more to offer this world than what I look like?"
I am not sure where these questions came from, but I couldn't run
from them, they would scream at me every time I looked in the mirror
as I started on my daily routine of mentally beating myself up.
I began to realize that my thinking and the way I was behaving was
wasting my life away. I knew deep down that I was more than just
this physical body. Things had to change!
The change started when I began dedicating a few minutes every
morning to me, just sitting quietly with a journal in hand. Each
day was different; maybe just sitting and thinking, writing or maybe
even just a good cry. I began reading books that would inspire me,
I turned off the television, I stopped looking at anything that
would make me feel bad about myself. I started surrounding myself
with people and things that made me happy. Then I realized my happiness
was a choice and came from inside of me and that I had given that
power away to so many people and things outside of myself hoping
they would make me happy. NO MORE!
I began to play with the fact that my body knew what was best for
me, I just needed to listen to it. So I made a decision that I would
only do things that felt good and gave myself permission to move
and express the way I wanted to even if it looked different or strange.
Then I noticed that I actually enjoyed moving and expressing myself
through my body. It felt so good! I finally got a taste of what
a healthy relationship with my body was. I began to let go of the
excess weight I had been virtually killing myself over for 15 years.
I actually began to LOVE my body. Me, I couldn't believe it, I actually
loved me, every inch. I didn't know this kind of feeling was ever
possible after the hell I had been living. But it was and it is
a delicious feeling.
It doesn't happen over-night, but if you have the desire to let
go of the trash (things, habits, tendencies and thoughts) that hold
you back from living your fullest most passionate life, if you want
to step into your own greatness, if you are ready to feel good in
your body then it sounds like you're ready to FIND YOUR GROOVE!
The Body Groove Method is designed to invite you into YOU. You
are unique and amazing in everyway! Your body, diet, stresses, job,
relationships, everything about you is unique so, of course, the
way you move is unique. Body Groove guides you into trusting your
unique way so that you can begin to feel amazing and enjoy how your
body feels. You will enjoy becoming more connected to the language
of your body and learn to honor what your body needs. It's talking
to you all of the time, are you listening?
I have fused elements from Dance , Yoga , Pilates , Core Training
, Inspiration , Meditation and my own unique method of movement
